The journey to the rescue

Jena, Tali, Nowzad, RPG, AK and 14 puppies left on the epic and long journey to the rescue.

We couldn't use cages as this would draw attention from the Taliban if the taxi was stopped. So the next best thing was a bird cage for Jena's pups!

Tali's pups had to travel in this old container. Not the best but we had nothing else.

Nowzad in the back of the taxi - we had to tape his mouth up so he wouldn't bite the driver. Not nice but we had no alternative.

Pen celebrating that we had, after 3 months of frustrating times, found a taxi to take the dogs to the rescue!

RPG and little AK escaped from the taxi on the way to safety. 3 of the puppies were stolen. The Nowzad Dog team are gutted.
